I'm a beginner player, mostly a strummer, and would like to learn a tool song that sounds cool and easy somewhat easy for a beginner to learn.

Something like "Nine pound Hammer"?

Tool the rock band. His style of playing is original, but does anyone know any songs that could be somewaht easy to play on the acoustic?

Truly?Wow! That's cultural diversity for ye!

Round here if we refer to someone as 'Tool' it would be prefaced by other words like 'absolute' and 'complete'.

But hey, shit, we got Bono (an anagram of O Nob) ;)

Welcome to the AG forum.

Tool is an awesome band. It's fun to rock out heavy tunes on the acoustic.

Tool uses a lot of drop D tuning (DADGBE). All you do is tune the guitar to standard (EADGBE) and tune the low E down to D.

Aenema is a pretty easy tune. It's in drop D tuning.

Here's a link to the tab:

since they aren't an acoustic band, all their songs would sound equally good/bad on an acoustic. only one of their songs isn't in the tuning hudman gave you.

love,

sober isn't hard, and you'll totally get laid if you know it.

Hey, Try the hidden song on the anima CD. Its like a 1/2 hour after the cd ends and I think its called Maynards dead. Its acoustic and totally kicks ass. Its really easy to play and sing too. :thu:
