Members Kerouac Posted January 3, 2007 Members Posted January 3, 2007 I got it last Thursday, after having it on layway for about a month. Back in February I got an Alvarez RD50S for my birthday frommy mom, but never really fell in love with it. Played great, sounded ok, but just wasn't gelling with me. My friend however loved it, and we worked out some gear trades. Sametime I saw a nice used Simon and Patrick at the store where I take lessons. It had some scratches and dents, but was 200 bucks with a very ncie hardshell case. I put cash on it right away and finally got it out. It's an S&P 6 Mahogany and Cedar. i think it's a solid top, but even if it isn't it sounds very warm, full, and pleasent. Different sound than my Dean and instead of Elixers I'm putting Martins on it. I think I'll use it for fingerpicking and my Dean for strumming. No camera so no pics, but I've got some gigs coming up so I'll try to get some pics then!
