Would like opinion on value of used Ovation guitar. Unknown

model year.

Ovation Matrix

Model #1132-1 Special Ed.

Good condition with hard case

What are good quality used Ovations worth ? Maybe not top of the line but still a real good guitar ? What should I be looking for in an Ovation. Longtime admirer of this make.

I dunno Hohnerboy, really. I've only been hangin' around with this bunch for a little while but I just don't hear much Ovation gas talk here. There have been from time to time some threads, all in good humor of course, about things non-musical that you can do with an Ovation. I've never owned one, though I have had one of their starter brand "Applause" rigs for some time now. I didn't buy it or anything like that. I bought a load of steer manure from a guy one time, and when we were done loading it into my pickup, he just grabbed that guitar off of a hook on the barn wall and handed it to me. Dangdest thing I'd ever seen. Insisted I take it too. I musta mentioned during all that heat and sweat that I play. It's a pretty little thing, in a strange kind of a way. I don't play it much though. I remember years ago that Richie Havens had one, Al Dimeola too. Maybe some others. Sorry I'm not more help.

Ive had one of these since 1982 and its still going strong! As with all ovations keep it in good enviromental conditions and watch out for splitting on the top.

Beautiful sounding guitar - but not really worth a great deal. My favourit acoustic for many years.
