thinking i might save towards an ibanez EP7 or EP9, thoughts?

the reviews are great and with the fishman aura mic modeller it looks like it can get some great sounds. I really like the look of it, only problem is i already have a jem and now i will look like a huge fanboy.

 

anyone played or own one?>

For what it's worth, the EP9 looks like it might actually sound decent with the Engelmann top and mahogany back and sides.

 

The EP7 seems to be more of a guitar-shaped object - quilted maple top, back and sides? And a thin body besides? It probably has less bass response than an unplugged Les Paul.

 

Then again, I've never played either one...so use your best judgement and your ears.
