Got some serious 000-15s gas going, I know that I shouldn't but a shop near me has one and I played it. And I liked it. And I have no money.

I bought a Tele tonight.

Edit: It's the unspoken rule to announce such things but I didn't want to thread it. So, I pirated your thread. Thanks Whale.

I guess I should go play one of these. I gotta have 14 though.

Hey Whale, there's always hubcaps and Ebay....

Blame yourself. My whole philosophy in life is to learn from those who've gone before me. They usually clear the mine field.

Actually, I've been wanting this thing for a while - among countless others - so I just took the initiative and bought it. It's a cheapo knock-off (Squier-Fender) all black with R/W board. It was 55% off at Sam Ash so $270.00 wasn't too bad for some ear-splitting fun. Besides, I have that little ditty on your HC album thread that I needed it for. Once again, the right deed for a worthwhile cause, IMHO.

Yes, I do have a camera. I'll get some pics of it and post them from work tomorrow maybe. I have DSL there. Here, only dial-up.

Well...cripes, for lack of a better word. The only way I'm gonna get it is to get rid of the OM-21 (which I don't play now anyway) I can't justify having more than two guitars at a time, I don't play them enough. Oh boy am I talking myself into this one!

Well, if you get the 000-15s, you won't need another fingerpicker (I have one and it is amazing). It makes a great little blues/slide guitar too (at least that is what I hear--I am not there yet). More versatile than you would think.

Am I helping or hurting here?

I'm with Dan on this one. 12 fretters make some great sound but I need all 14 frets. Nothing more frustrating than writing something that needs some upper register color that can't be had.

You don't want to do that. I don't know how long you've had the 21 but play it more or something. Take deep breaths. Go get a pint of Godiva's Rasberry Chocolate Truffel.

I can't blame anyone for wanting a 15. But the idea of anyone letting go of an OM-21 strikes me as madness. Maybe you oughtta widen your stable maximum to three guitars rather than two? I currently own four - five, if you count the classical... and one mandolin - and you're a much better player than I am...

I just got this mad urge to hear CSN&Y's "Triad." Listening to it now...

I don't look at guitars from a quantitative perspective. I take the qualitative stance. I've been through 10 guitars in the last 2 years trying to satisfy my ear. Some guitars did when I bought them and then I'd discover others that were better. That's the progression and if it leaves me with many guitars - all satisfying in their own voices - then that's the way it is. But, I won't hang onto something that has been upstaged. This might be confusing but many great sounding guitars of distinctive voicings are better than many guitars so similar in sound that some become dust magnets.

That's not the point, though. The point is that I am fond of the OM-21; therefore, anyone who owns one must keep it so that I can live vicariously through him because, in the end, we must remember that it is all about me. :D

Exactly, it's like say Clip puts his hog up for sale the day after I ink the deal with Sigurdson cause he wants to buy a new Daisy Rock Heart Throb. That means I gotta fly all the way out to Knoxville with a blue tarp and shovel to make it right. Some folks are identified with their ax.

You'ld be surprised what old Mustang hubcaps are worth!!

This is what I'm saying. Anyway the OM is on the block so if anyone is interested PM me.

Good shape, well played with some mojo marks, but this thing rings like a bell. But my L-09 outclasses it in every respect.

Heck I didn't know you had one of those. Sell that stinking Martin
