The "triple threats".

The entertainment media often speaks of the "triple threats": those who can sing, act, and dance. Since these "threats" are randomly-picked to begin with, how come they never include (or allow for) "playing" an instrument? [i kind of empathize with the "not-yet-an-olympic-sport-crowd"].

 

Or even, why stop at three? Why not have any "quadruples"? Well, to answer my own question, it would be hard to find such people. I actually find many on the current "list" to be more like "triple-zeros". But I digress.

 

What would be an HCAG "triple threat", you ask? I, for one nominate -and have tremendous respect- for those who know how to "play", "fix" their guitars, and "post" a good post once in a while.

 

But I also realize that the majority of us here would be happy to pose only "one" kind of threat. And that would be fine too.

I can put up a great post occasionally, but that doesn't make me happy. And I don't play well, and I have to take my guitar to a shop. Thanks, now I'm really depressed. :^)

Singing well is cool.

Acting is highly overated. Directing is the talent.

Dancing is what people do that don't play well enough to be in the band.

This is more hype than a threat.

HCAG tripple threat would have to be;

Multi-instrumental

Can repair/build guitars

Be a techno/whiz kid that is up on the latest acoustic amplification/ recording techniques and equiptment.

I'm about half way there and have a long way to go. I respect anyone who accomplishes only one.
