Members fitness1 Posted February 2, 2007 Members Posted February 2, 2007 ***SALE PENDING*** Recent, unexpected family health issues are making me re-evaluate my current collection (see my Lucida for sale as well) I just purchased this instrument and have found it to be possibly the best Rosewood instrument I've owned, but I feel compelled to prepare for the coming weeks/months. This is a '96 Webber Roundbody with Engelmann top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, abalone rosette and top purfling, ebony fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay. Not completely sure on the binding material, but I think it's either cocobolo or paduak. Nut width is what I would call a generous 1 3/4.....not quite 1 13/16, but not exactly 1 3/4 either. Neck profile is a modified C. The Roundbody is a guitar that has very similar dimesions to an OM, but just slight tweaks, the biggest of which is the waist. In my opinion, the tonal changes do make it sound slighty larger than the OM, but not to a point where it looses it's articulate sound. It is also the same depth as the Webber OM's. You can find the dimensions at webberguitars.com The condition is at least 9.5/10....one ding that can be seen at all on the top without close scrutiny, maybe 1 by 2mm and not through the finish....other than that just a few TINY marks that you will really have to look for. NO fret wear, I just had it dressed and leveled (even though it didn't have any wear, I just like to be able to really dial in the setup with no high or low frets) It will ship polished up, fingerboard and bridge freshly cleaned and conditioned and a fresh set of Pearse phosphor lights installed...ready to go. It also comes with an original Webber/canadian arched top hard case with 6 latches and blue interior, also in excellent plus condition. 1750 shipped to the lower 48 only with Bank check - add 40.00 for Paypal and I'll cover the rest. I'll post a few pics here, but I have many more available to seriously interested parties. I tried to create an Imageshack slideshow, but they have changed some things around and the site apparently isn't working like it's supposed to. email at fitstop@charter.net
Members fitness1 Posted February 3, 2007 Author Members Posted February 3, 2007 dropping to 1700 shipped....that's as low as I'm going. If you check David's website, you'll see it would be nearly double to build this.
