Here are some comments about it, first from a UMGF member: "Re: 00-21GE at Mandolin Bros. ________________________________________Played it earlier today, and I wasn't surprised to find that its volume surprised everyone in the store when Todd Stuart Phillips and I played it. Stan Jay ordered a faithful reproduction of the 00-21GE that Martin produced in very small numbers a few years ago. This new one has a wonderful balance to it - its notes start out with a crisp snap (thanks to a wide-narrow-wide grained Adi top) and take on a hint of smoky-tinged complexity and richness from the rosewood back and sides. The sustain and ring on this was epic - forget your watch and grab a calendar. There also was a chime in the sustain that was more like what a mahogany or pearl-encrusted Martin would offer. Overall, the two notable characteristics were balance and volume. The neck profile was very comfortable (one notch wider than 1-3/4") and had a very comfortable V shape along with a hand-filling curve to it. The funny thing is, Stan Jay has a knack for ordering customs that become Martin production models. (Martin's OM-28GE and Marquis models come to mind). A 00-21GE 12-fretter would be a nice addition to Martin's product line, although the demand might still be down in the range where stores like Mandolin Brothers, Maury's Music, or My Favorite Guitars will take our custom or small-edition orders. Either way, you should try a 00-21GE. Also, there's an original 00-21GE for sale in our Buy & Sell right now... Tony" ...and from Stan Jay: "48-4152 C F Martin 00-21GE (new Custom Shop guitar made for Mandolin Brothers), #1100692, with Geib style hard shell case. I have seen Heaven and it is this guitar. Little did we know when we ordered just two of these absolutely superb grand concert, slotted headstock, Adirondack spruce top shining jewels of a six-string experience, that they would come out this good! We are planning to order some more for future delivery

Members acho7 Posted February 3, 2007 Author Members Posted February 3, 2007 I took the guitar off the market for a while. Prices have gone up since then so you can have it for $2750 + shipping. Read the reviews. It's a great guitar... A7
