Members bigou Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 Does anybody have one? Any opinion? Just found one in a pawn shop for 30$ (canadian). Is that a good deal or not:confused:
Members Stackabones Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 A review. 35 or so years later and still cookin' Looks good. Have you played it? That'll tell you plenty. I wonder if you could haggle the price a bit--$30 seems a bit steep. Just kiddin'!!! Though why not try to get them to knock a few bucks off?

I did not played it because the guitar is string with the bottom 6 strings 2 times (means that the upper strings are the same than the bottom ones) I wanna try to have it for 20$ because the guitar had a lot of sratches... Gonna be a great beater!!!

Members bigou Posted February 14, 2007 Author Members Posted February 14, 2007 I just came from the pawn shop. I notice a bad bridge job, there's glue all over the top!!! I also notice a B so the guitar probably a B-stock back in the 70's. I deserve a beater... hey I already have a beater :-)
Members Tony Burns Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 Id play it ( then decide ), and not say much - pawn shops will up thir price if they think your too hot about it - check that the neck is straight and the bridge is not pulling off - also take alook at the action - and by all means clean it up and put new strings on it -- cant see how you could wrong with any guitar for around 30 bucks !
Members 2ifbyC Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 Offer $20 OTD... If they take the offer then ya got a great project git! If not, no harm, no foul.
Members dcarey Posted February 14, 2007 Members Posted February 14, 2007 I had one a couple years back and it was just fine. I replaced the tuners with an inexpensive set from Stew Mac because one of the plastic shafts was self destructing. Played it for a couple years then sold it for three times what I paid for it. Played best with "hard" strings. Dan
