Members Hudman Posted February 16, 2007 Members Posted February 16, 2007 Nice. What kind of tuner buttons are on it?
Members T.B. Posted February 16, 2007 Members Posted February 16, 2007 That's a good looking guitar. I'm sure she sounds even lovelier. Trina
Members Carvinendorser Posted February 16, 2007 Author Members Posted February 16, 2007 It came from the factory with those buttons. There like an orange pearl.
Members babablowfish Posted February 16, 2007 Members Posted February 16, 2007 Simon & Patrick are good guitars. Looks like a nice wide neck. How's it sound - bright, dark, resonant, lots of sustain, little sustain, jangly? You get the idea.
Members Carvinendorser Posted February 16, 2007 Author Members Posted February 16, 2007 The neck is on the wide side and it has a pretty flat radius. It's a good transition from my main electric which has a 15" radius. As for sound I'd say it is warm and slightly mellow, but not dark at all. It is very resonant with good sustain, not really jangly though. I'd say it falls between a Taylor and a Martin.
Members AugTPD Posted February 16, 2007 Members Posted February 16, 2007 I've always thought the unique cutaway shape on the Godin made dreads looks cool. Don't know why, but it does.
Members exhaust_49 Posted February 16, 2007 Members Posted February 16, 2007 I also have a 02' S+P pro flame maple. I love this guitar and am keeping it for life (yah I love it that much). To me it sounds better than any martin or gibson I've played for 1/10th the price.
Members EastCoastPlayah Posted February 17, 2007 Members Posted February 17, 2007 I have a '97 rosewood pro that I love. I bought it used to be a "party guitar" -one that you can ding and spill drinks on and not lose sleep over. I'm glad it hasn't been dinged or splashed, because it has become my everyday guitar making most of the others decorations more than anything. Mine is 45mm wide at the nut with a 16" radius....I liked it so much, I used the neck as the template to build my first acoustic. Well worth $400 (CDN).
