Members mepla66 Posted December 10, 2006 Members Posted December 10, 2006 I recently acquired a new (and much lighter for me!) wooden 12-string and regretfully I have to let the Adamas go.Although I am not the original owner, I took very good care of it, I played it plenty but did not abuse it! Considering that mint is something that is brand new, or a "collector's item", this guitar is in excellent plus condition for its age, and it needs absolutely nothing. It recently had a professional set up, the frets were cleaned (minimal fretwear!), the action was adjusted low with no buzzing, a new battery was installed and electronics work perfectly, it was set up with fresh Elixir strings, and she is now ready for a new good home. The guitar is simply beautiful with a very powerful voice and rich tone both acoustically and plugged in!It has a graphite top, deep bowl (with bronze highlights) carved wood binding, walnut fingerboard, carved walnut headstock and bridge, deluxe 24K gold-plated machine heads. The top is Black with bronze speckles. The electronics are OP-24 (volume control and 3-band EQ)Model 1688-5, hand-signed by CW kaman II, made in New Hartford, Connecticut, USA.It comes with original black ovation case in very good condition, with a very small chip and scratches, but all latches functioning and it is structurally fine. Please call for photos! mepla66@comcast.net
