Members jerime Posted February 24, 2007 Members Posted February 24, 2007 Can't really afford a Martin at this time, but I love the sound of the 00 size acoustics. Are there any other alternatives out there?
Members likkafella Posted February 24, 2007 Members Posted February 24, 2007 Are these 00-size? (not so familiar with what model 00 is). http://www.sagamusic.com/catalog/details.asp?ProductID=BR-341 Blueridge builds some fine guitars. Or Seagull? http://www.seagullguitars.com/productcoastgrand.htm

Members guitarist21 Posted February 24, 2007 Members Posted February 24, 2007 Like Whalebot, my first thought is Larrivee. You can often find perfectly good used ones for pretty cheap. Ellen
Members Cripes Posted February 25, 2007 Members Posted February 25, 2007 I had the Larrivee OO-05. They make an OO-09 as well. They are little lap cannons but I also thought they sounded "small". Mine was a spruce/hog B/S, 12 fret slothead. If you're okay with only 12 frets, great. I need 14 frets clear so I sold it. Again, the body is small so expect small sound.
