Members missedmyexit Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 I've notice that a lot of people post Youtube clips of songs and guitars ect. I originally thought youtube was just were the frat kids posted their "jackass" stunts but recently Ive realized that there is a ton of good guitar stuff. From lessons to amazingly skilled guitar players to some pretty good clips original songs. I do most of my lurking at work which I think is more common then some people (Bosses) might hope. When I get home to where I view youtube (watching video clips at work seems to be stepping over the line a little to much for me) I always forget which thread had the youtube clip some suggested that I want to see. My long winded point. How about a youtube/video sticky. You see a good guitar related clip. Post a link in the sticky. You are infront of the computer and want to see some good acoustic videos.. You have a whole thread of suggestions. Anyways just a thought.

I find myself browsing youtube more often these days; finding old interviews/performances by Dylan, Leadbelly, John Lennon, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Muddy Waters...readings by Jack Keroauc, Allan Ginsberg...pretty cool if you ask me.
Members Freeman Keller Posted March 8, 2007 Members Posted March 8, 2007 I have a sub tab under My Favorites that I drop links to things like this - a number of tab sites, Kottke videos, MJH lessons, Fahey stuff right now. Every now and then I e-mail My Favorites form one computer to the other which is kind of a crude way of synchronizing them. I also keep a text file on my desktop called Notes - I am constantly copying URL's and all kind of other things and just storing them there (usually with a one line discription like "HGAC String Test" - http://..... Again, by e-mailing that at the end of the work day to my home system and back at the end of my evening work (if any) I can stay in sync. Your idea, however, would let us share those links on the forum. Unforunately, I am afraid that it would end up with many comments and thus be like the current stickies with many pages that nobody really looks at.
