Members RizinRico Posted March 11, 2007 Members Posted March 11, 2007 Since Music123 was bought out by GC they seem to be having a fire sale on Fullerton guitars and mandos. I have been GASin for a Mando for a while (even tho I can barely play the GtRs that I own) so intrigued by a $49 model I started investigating and wound up buying a $199 Hammonton Deluxe F model with solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides. Now can someone please help me find some decent (EASY) info on how to play nice with my new little box.
Members Hudman Posted March 11, 2007 Members Posted March 11, 2007 That looks like a great deal. I came close to buying a mandolin a few different times. I would love to get one sometime down the road. Everytime I listen to Nickel Creek I start GAS'ing for a mando. I don't have any links or tips for you. Congrats!
Members guitarist21 Posted March 11, 2007 Members Posted March 11, 2007 Everytime I listen to Nickel Creek I start GAS'ing for a mando. I was lucky enough to have a mando I never used the first time I heard them. Now I want a better one because mine really is a piece of crap, but I know I can't afford/justify buying one that's good. When I sat in with that jazz band in San Antonio, I played the guy's mando. It was a Gibson and it played SO much better than mine. And the neck shape reminded me of my Epi, in a small sort of way. Man, serious GAS attack after that night. Ellen
