Members AJWhiting Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 Hey Guys! I am looking to buy a multi guitar stand to take on the road with me similar to this one: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/RockStand-by-Warwick-5Space-Guitar-Stand-Case?sku=455007 But I am having a hard time figuring out what size to get that will fit three acoustics comfortably. They all say how many electrics will fit, but not acoustics. I am guessing that three acoustics will fit in the five electric size, but am not sure. Do any of you use one of these? Any advice that you can give me? Thanks!!!! Adam
Members Terry Allan Hall Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 I prefer individual stands, but the 5 axe model might work OK...you also might see if they still make the 7 axe model.
Members rjoxyz Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 I know this is rather different than you are considering, but I have one and it is excellent. Stable and no way to have a guitar fall off. Folds compactly for the "road" (though mine has never left the house). http://movies.donyell.net/salma-hayek-photo-gallery.htm

Members AJWhiting Posted March 15, 2007 Author Members Posted March 15, 2007 I would definitely take her on the road with me! She can hold my guitars anyday!
Members bigby Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 You got Salma Hayek holding your guitars for you at home? She's my "if there was ever one celebrity encouter..." choice with the wifey.
Members slodge Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 I'll admit Salma folds nicely, but I have had a problem with the guitars breaking a sweat and slipping...
Members guitarist21 Posted March 15, 2007 Members Posted March 15, 2007 But I am having a hard time figuring out what size to get that will fit three acoustics comfortably. I'm fairly confident that the 5-space size you show in the link will fit five acoustic guitars. I personally don't own one like that, but a friend of mine does, possibly of a different brand name. He brings three electrics and two acoustics to his band's shows and the acoustics fit pretty comfortably. If there's any way you could run to a Guitar Center or something and check that'd probably be good, but Musician's Friend has a good return policy, so long as you're wiling to risk the cost of shipping. Members rjoxyz Posted March 16, 2007 Members Posted March 16, 2007 You got Salma Hayek holding your guitars for you at home? I have no clue how that happened. A couple days ago, a guy at my office claimed to not know who Salma Hayek was, so pulled up those photos. Let me try again...http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hercules-Stands-GS432B-Tri-Stand-Guitar-Stand?sku=453084 I am just hopeful that some day Salma Hayek will show up as a Stupid Deal of the Day at MF.
Members danger_boy_13 Posted March 16, 2007 Members Posted March 16, 2007 Wen I asked about multi-guitar stands, the Hercules stands were highly recommended. I would check out the 3-guitar version of that.

Members KATMAN Posted March 16, 2007 Members Posted March 16, 2007 I have the folded one.It works pretty well. The bottom spaces come out so you can adjust them for acoustics. It is used for electrics, but will adjust for acoustic as well. Pretty nice invention for guitar space saver.
Members Blackwatch Posted March 16, 2007 Members Posted March 16, 2007 I don't have the Hercules model but I've got a 2 and 5 guitar stand like those and they work pretty well for me.I'm going to have to check into the Hercules stuff though...it looks well built....
