"Deja Vu" - thought Stills sang it, but you may be correct. Long time since I heard it.

Stephen Stills ain't it? Crosby was born to sing harmony. I have'nt heard it in years but my pointy little mind still hears Stills. Still, I could be wrong too.

Wheres the rhyme and wheres the reason?
(john Denver)

I don't get the point of this, there's a "communication breakdown." The thread could be interesting but, "Wheres the rhyme and wheres the reason?"

There is no direction or theme besides any song lyric. There should be some connection between the last posted lyric and the next. (Tomcat, from a song I just wrote)

That's right, the mascara snake!

"When I woke up this morning, things were looking bad. Seemed like total silence was the only friend I had. Bowl of oat meal tried to stare me down and won. And it was twelve o'clock before I realized I was having no fun. Ah but fortunately I have the key to escape reality. And you may see me tonight with an illegal smile.":)

Some said it was a flower and some said it was weed
I didn't gave it much thought...
One day I was out there talking to my brother
Reached down for a weed to chew on
Things got fuzzy and things got blurry
And then everything was gone
I Didn't know what happened
But I knew it beat the hell out of sniffin' burlap

I took off for a weekend last month
Just to try and recall the whole year.
So many places and so many faces
Wonderin' where they all disapeared.

I didn't ponder the question too long
I got hungry and went out for a bite.
Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum
And we wound up drinking all night.

I would love to tour the Southland
In a travelling minstrel show
Yes I'd love to tour the Southland
In a traveling minstrel show
Yes I'm dying to be a star and make them laugh
Sound just like a record on the phonograph
Those days are gone forever
Over a long time ago, oh yeah
I have never met Napoleon
But I plan to find the time
I have never met Napoleon
But I plan to find the time
'Cause he looks so fine upon that hill
They tell me he was lonely, he's lonely still
Those days are gone forever
Over a long time ago, oh yeah
I stepped up on the platform
The man gave me the news
He said, You must be joking son
Where did you get those shoes?
Where did you get those shoes?

Well, I've seen 'em on the TV, the movie show
They say the times are changing but I just don't know
These things are gone forever
Over a long time ago, oh yeah
