Members wordwiz Posted March 25, 2007 Members Posted March 25, 2007 Hello. Does anybody know if there is an effects pedal that will simulate an acoustic 12 string? I play a Martin 6 string acoustic electric through a Fender Acoustisonic Jr amp, and on occasion would like the 12 string sound. Many thanks. Charlie

Members Terry Allan Hall Posted March 26, 2007 Members Posted March 26, 2007 Nothing really does extremely convincingly, but you can kinda get close by using a chorus with an octave doubler on your guitar's signal. Get a real 12-string.

Not as bad as an octave divider, but, yeah, tracking fast passages and chords can be a problem...slower to medium speed leads are usually better sounding. That why I suggested get a real 12-string...nothing really gets that 12-string sound like the real thing!
Members ihateyouguys Posted March 27, 2007 Members Posted March 27, 2007 The zoom A2 has a twelve string simulator. How good is it? I bought a 12 string guitar. The only thing close a real 12 string guitar would be something like a variax 700 acoustic or the boss VG8 / 88 / etc.
Members eor Posted March 27, 2007 Members Posted March 27, 2007 all the 12 strings sims eor've heard in multi-effect dealies sound like raw ass. in general, eor is against hamonizers and pitch shifters and stuff, for that reason. fewer lasers, more rock. love, eor
