Members AugTPD Posted March 30, 2007 Members Posted March 30, 2007 Came across this one while surfing on Ebay. First thought.... It kinda looks like a pinto bean with a guitar neck attached. I got the website of the guitar maker from the picture of the soundhole and he makes a bunch of these weird lookin' guitars.... http://cgi.ebay.com/JON-KAMMERER-ACOUSTIC-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-SOLID-WALNUT-NR_W0QQitemZ160100105697QQcategoryZ47064QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Members lippy Posted March 30, 2007 Members Posted March 30, 2007 There are two kinds of liars in this world. Those that say they've never strummed a pinto bean, and those that say they've quit.

Wish I could see/hear one in person. But... The thing that gets me about ads like this one is when the seller explains why he's selling this particular git, ie. in this case, "Need the money and this is the one I play the least." Then you glance up and see he's got 900 other sales. Obviously he's some sort of dealer but he tries to pass himself off as Joe sellin' my extra guitar. Feels vaguely dishonest. Bugs me. End Rant.

I'd be very interested to see if that goofy thing actually sounds good too. And it seems like more and more people are pushing the limits of "honest Ebaying" nowadays.
Members Cripes Posted March 31, 2007 Members Posted March 31, 2007 The model number reads: 4-JBG. Would that be Jelly Bean Guitar? What the pics don't show is the side profile. I'd like to view that angle to see the parabolics.
Members guitarist21 Posted March 31, 2007 Members Posted March 31, 2007 Well that's a weird one. The whole thing is walnut? Bet it has an interesting sound. I've seen some eBay auctions where the seller posts a video of the guitar being used. I know there's certainly room for false advertising, but this is one of the instances where such a video would be incredibly helpful. Ellen
