I want to thank everyone for chiming in on my ordeal with MF. Honestly, I like the sound of my RD20 Alv Dread, but it just hurts too much to play. I do like the Ibanez AC30NT I ordered, but I was really not sure what was going on with that. It is a very fine instrument, even when I took it to the UPS store to return it, the ladies there said I did the right thing, they said it didn't seem like there was a guitar also in the box, it was untampered with to ship

Jim

PS- I'm kinda bummed about it, was looking forward to it, any suggestions under $300 open

-under consideration, Ibanez AC30NT, Blueridge BR-43, 1st is 00, second is 000, also considering A/E like epi PR-5e, they just reworked the pup

- learned not to order traditional case, have a chipboard for my Dread, think that Gator durofoam the way to go, great lite ,but great protection

GOD Bless

Let me get this straight: You waited almost two weeks to get it and never opened the box?

I will never understand that. You could have opened the box and tried out the guitar with zero risk. MF doesn't charge shipping when you return items. Heck, they would have sent the UPS guy to your house to pick it up.

Hud,

I ordered a case, if I wanted to return it, I would have had to pay for it since i ordered it unless it was the wrong one. I'm tired of MF.

I may just go up to the store where I saw the Ibanez 1st, MF can't give me a straight answer about anything.

For basically the same price I can ge the Ibanez AC30NT with durofoam case if I still like it.

guit30- ever given any though to a larrivee - they are fantastic guitars made in the US and Canada - you wont get robbed when you buy one and you wont be buying some sweat shop instrument from the orient - in the long run it also might be a keeper when compared to the other brands you mentioned - i was looking at some of the stuff you were looking at but decided to pay a little more and get a whole lot more - i bought a Larrivee - the quality is amazing as well as the sound ( OMv60 ) Tony B.

Larrivee makes a very nice looking instrument, don't think they make a straight 000, it is an OM with a 1.75 ,right? I played an Om-03 and I thought it was nice for the price, honestly that was the first day I played a Blueridge, a BR-160, really surprised me, the sound was incredible.

I read an article in AG about how they made Martin d-28s, almost all done by machines, the sweatshop guitars are probably as handmade. Kind of disapointed me that Martin had gone so production line, but I guess you have to keep up, especially if you only have 1 factory.

Larrivee is definitely quality, I could tell that just by looking at it, don't know if they make one in my size.

Hey, thanks

AFAIK the Martins are still assembled by hand but the parts are cut by CNC.

As for a Larrivee 000, they're only found in the higher-end 50 and 60 series which are something like $1800+. Your best bet would be to look for a used OM-03 that was made before 2002. The nut width was 1& 11/16". The best way to recognize them is by the black body binding.
