Members LiveMusic Posted April 6, 2007 Members Posted April 6, 2007 This is a streaming audio recording of the Fullerton Batsto model that I got in yesterday. Paid $99 from Music123.com, one of their liquidation closeout deals. It has the same strings on it that it came with. Whatever they are. I just wrote this song yesterday, so, the ink is wet and if you have any comments whatsoever, fire away. I are a serious songwriter and I can take it! This was recorded on one track, just me and the guitar >>> sm57 >>> Fostex mr8 >>> Kristal software for tweaking.
Members drnihili Posted April 6, 2007 Members Posted April 6, 2007 Sounds like $99 well spent. As for comments, the third line doesn't seem quite right to me. I initially thought it should be "helps him sort of care" instead, but I'm not sure that's right either. Also, I'd use a contraction "summer's" rather than "summer is" in the last verse. It's less formal and fits the tone of the song better to my ear. Great song though. I really liked it.
Members rjoxyz Posted April 6, 2007 Members Posted April 6, 2007 I like it and I agree with Natalie's dad about your vocals and guitar work. I saw him at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival a couple months ago. That man can pick a guitar (including slide steel). He is a pretty good judge of talent too.

"Natalie's dad"? Did I miss an episode of "As The Harmony Central Acoustic Guitar Forum Turns"?

Sorry--If you go to LiveMusic's home page from the song page, you will find a flattering letter from Lloyd Maines a/k/a Natalie's dad--you know Natalie, the political voice of the Dixie Chicks? On the other hand, you did miss an episode of AHCAGF Turns. Everyone was trying to figure out who is the real father of d03nut. It was a real cliffhanger!
Members Bernie P. Posted April 7, 2007 Members Posted April 7, 2007 IMO not articulating the "e" in coyote so much would be more appropriate with the mood of the tune.Sort of like just a- "tih" sound in there instead of the distinct E if that makes sense.Hard to convey things sometimes.Nice tune.
Members mrspeed Posted May 7, 2007 Members Posted May 7, 2007 I gotta say the guitar sounds great. I was about to pul the trigger on a Rogue but that Batsto sounds great.
