I've been a little obsessed getting my electric world in order (new tube amp, new guitar, new overdrive pedal). But it's gotten me playing my Taylor, and even my old 12-string Alvarez. Fun to be back into it again. :D

Here's a pic:

Ditto. Two nice guitars, give them the attention they need.

btw - probably won't react with the UV finish on the Taylor, but if the 12 is nitro the surgical tubing on your stands might damage the finish. One of my 'bros has a big melted spot on the back of the neck.

Thanks y'all. Yeah, I just learned about the whole nitro issue b/c my new Gibson LP VM has that finish so I have a stand with "velveteen rubber" or something which is supposed to help prevent damage. Maybe I should upgrade the acoustic stands. What about wooden stands? GC has one.

I cut the sleeves off of a a couple of old tee shirts and put over the neck and bottom rests. That way I've also got a cloth to wipe 'em down afterwards. Save the money for some brewskis.

A friend who is a fantastic wood worker said he would make a couple of stands for my guitars. Only problem is that when I leave then out they dry out too much, so they sleep in their cases.

Better than if they were to sleep with the fishes.
