So I played a Simon & Patrick parlor today...

And boy was the thing loud. $300 parlor outdid most of the dreads in the room (mid-level guitar room, solid tops, lam b/s). Weird. I might add that I was fingerpicking with a buddy and with my nails it was louder than his dread(s) (mostly other Godins too) playing rythym with his nails.

I have recently had a similar experience with an all-laminate Yamaha FG331. It is a smaller sized body with an over-sized volume. Go figure!
