... Really liked your clip. I WISH I played the oud - always loved the sound. Loreena McKennitt makes great use of an excellent oud player on several of her recordings.

Standard Arabic right now D G A D G C low to high. I'm thinking of trying the high F string again though... I tried it once before on a fixed bridge oud and it sounded like crap but I think it would work better on the Bashir style oud.

 

I'm really digging this Loreena McKennit stuff, I hadn't heard her before. Thanks for the tip!

that was pimp. always wanted one, but it isn't like they are just lying around all over the place. can only find them on websites or ebay, and eor is scurred, since i know so little about buying one.
