Members Rothlover Posted June 23, 2007 Members Posted June 23, 2007 Hey, so in my quest to diversify my wood, I've been struck by the look of birch, and have been impressed with the reviews of a few birch models I've seen, but I only know of a few solid birch models out there and want to know if there are more (I realize a lot of old guitars and archies used birch.) I've really been gassing for the cedar birch of a low model Garrison G (still haven't found one used from anyone here or on ebay for decently less than the new price.) I've also had my eye on Landola guitars, but those seem really expensive and the EU to US cost would probably break me . I know martin has a birch model, but thats like 2300. Tyler mountain has a spruce/birch for $100, but knowing tyler mountain its gotta be all laminated and not useful for anything more than noodling. It also seems like a lot of those 1/2 $15 guitars use some sort of birch (I'm guessing pulp?) but thats neither here nor there. Anyone know of some more decent birch acoustics?
