Members homestar_kevin Posted July 2, 2007 Members Posted July 2, 2007 ...That just looks like a case to me.... OoOoOo.. well that just got more interesting. So I picked this little guy up at the local Music-go-round. I walked in to shop pedals and saw this and had to play it. I couldn't put it down for like 20 minutes... It's an 000-18 body, so small and fun to play. The tone is really bright and warm, just like I've been searching for in an acoustic. Before this I had a Guild D-4nt, and this guitar is way more what I was looking for than that big, big Guild. Enjoy, I know the pics aren't that great.

Members OldGuitarPlayer Posted July 2, 2007 Members Posted July 2, 2007 Nice score!!!! With Grovers as well! What a coincidence! I just bought a 1989 Sigma DM-2 Dreadnought at my local "used" instrument shop on Friday. It is in almost mint condition with Ping Tuners and what appears to be replacement bone nut and saddle. It looks like the previous owner hardly played it as there is hardly any fret or fingerboard wear. Now with that and my 1978 Yamaha FG-331 (same size as your new Sigma) I feel I have the best of both worlds. I also had my my old Yamaha set up, the frets re-dressed and the nut and saddle replaced with bone and it really makes a difference in tone. I would certainly advise you do the same with your Sigma. Finally..my search for sturdy reliable workhorse guitars is now over...I have to admit that for laminate top guitars both these sound great and I couldn't be happier I know..I know...pics to follow...camera charging:o Anyhow...I hope this guitar gives you years of happiness..it looks like a real keeper. Members guitarist21 Posted July 2, 2007 Members Posted July 2, 2007 Congrats on the Sigmas! I have one myself and it really does sound great. Only problem is the bridge pulling up, and I've heard this is a problem with other Sigma owners who've had their guitars for a while. My local luthier was able to fix the problem. Ellen
Members homestar_kevin Posted July 2, 2007 Author Members Posted July 2, 2007 thanks everyone. I'd been looking for a grand auditorium for awhile so this just fits in perfect.
