Members dboy420 Posted July 2, 2007 Members Posted July 2, 2007 A Used Guild D-NT From about 1991 for $200 I was carrying in my New Art and Lutherie AMI Parlor from a weekend of jamming at my freinds and the neighbor stops me to inquire if I would know the value of a guitar he had from someone he knew years ago who never kept and interest. I was half expecting an older Yamaha or a cheap student guitar. He then brought out a Guild D-4 NT made in Rhode Island USA. I told him they go for about 400 used on ebay. I wasn't really looking to make another 400 guitar purchase but he said he would let it gofor $200 with case. I jumped all over it. I have a newer Guild GAD 50 and I couldn't be happier with it however the problem is its almost too pretty to take out and play. I am always worried about dinging it up or damaging it.... anyway the D-4 will fit my uses perfectly - It has a couple dings so i dont really need to baby it -it does sound nice and the action is smooth. It may need a new saddle but it works for now. Now I am considering selling off the GAD as it seldomly gets played anyway. Plus I just bought the A&L last week and the guitar gas is seeming to get out of contrl again. LOL-D
