I've got my dad's old one he bought in the 70s for 25 bucks. If the bridge were actually glued down the and the action wasn't 8 inches off the fretboard, it would probably be a decent guitar.

I recently just had one of the newer Hagstrom 102S models. I paid $180 for it new with a gigbag. It has since been discontinued by Hagstrom. It was an "OM" sized guitar with solid cedar top with mahogany neck, back and sides. It had what they called a "porous" finish...kind of satin like the Seagull. Since the top was made of solid cedar and had no pickguard, it really got scratched up from my "Joe Strummer" style of playing. It head a really skinny neck like an electric guitar. Because it had a solid top it was very loud and had really nice tone but I just could never get used to the tiny neck (not great for fingerstyle) so I traded it for a 1978 Yamaha FG-331.

Hope that helps,

Thanks. I believe that's the model I was looking at. They also make or made a solid hog top one too. I didn't know they discontinued them, that's disappointing to hear.

Well...yes the model is discontinued but I do see them for sale online every once in awhile. I have seen the all mahogany just recently at the local music store but didn't get a chance to take a better look at it. Like I said...if you like skinny necks than this is the acoustic for you.

When you say skinny, do you mean skinny like a Taylor neck?

I would say yes...much "skinnier" than Taylor. I was surprised as I let a Taylor player try it and even he was surprised at thin it was. I don't know if all of them are like that though. I think they even made a 7/8 size guitar as well.
