Members d03nut Posted August 6, 2007 Members Posted August 6, 2007 I'm not asking for "the ultimate" you can think of, that would be a D18A (sadly still) sight unseen & voice-unheard
Members guitarist21 Posted August 6, 2007 Members Posted August 6, 2007 I'm not entirely sure the question but I know the answer is... 42. ...or Epiphone Masterbilt. Ellen

Members carguy Posted August 7, 2007 Members Posted August 7, 2007 I have absolutely no idea what D03nut is asking. I can assure you that there are a great many other things that I don't understand as well.

Members brahmz118 Posted August 7, 2007 Members Posted August 7, 2007 I think I get it. Pioneer had plaques with pictures and symbols. Voyager had the Golden Record with the music of Bach and Louis Armstrong, among others. So let's say the next incarnation of a spacecraft designed to leave the solar system takes it a step further and includes some samples of our craftmanship. Although I was tempted to suggest some sort of Martin dread, for historical significance, I started to wonder if the extreme hot and cold temperatures in space would destroy it. Maybe it would take a RainSong or something even more durable to last the 40,000 year flight to another galaxy. Actually, I don't really know what happens to stuff in space. Anyone know?
Members Cripes Posted August 7, 2007 Members Posted August 7, 2007 I could not answer that for the sake of impressing another world with our enduring resolve for the best. So, I'd send an Esteban just in case they have ill-intent. Sort of a cosmic wolfbane maybe.

"Do you think there are people on other planets?" "I don't know. But if it's just us, it would be an awful waste of space." - from Contact (one of my favorite movies)
