Martin OM Negative

I just love the way this guitar looks. Certainly not a first guitar, but for one to collect, it is as cool as they get hot off the press. Even its case is a Geib 544 Negative.

I've always loved that guitar; there was one for sale on eBay awhile back; I think the guy wanted $5K. I remember the first one being a giveaway in Acoustic Guitar magazine. It's technically a 000-28, if memory serves, though the Martin 000 and OM body sizes are the same; it's the other details that differ. White Micarta fretboard and bridge - most other white fretboards are celluloid (like the new Parker PM-10, for example). I think Micarta feels a lot more like wood than does celluloid.

You must be referring to the HDN(which was introduced in 2002); the OM Negative was just introduced a few weeks ago.

I dont mind bursts but Im not a fan of painted tops - I love to see the top grain - sorry but thats not my cup of tea.

Interesting but like TB not my cup of tea kind of into the more natural style of guitar
