"David" Grisman, mandolinist extraordinaire. Many recordings with Garcia and the Dead including American Beauty, Old and in the Way, The Pizza Tapes, plus a plethora of Grisman's own recordings. In Garcia's last years the two performed together many times in the SF Bay area small clubs.
