Members garthman Posted August 21, 2007 Members Posted August 21, 2007 11/16 = 0.6875 so the difference is + 0.0075 (which is very small).

Fractions and Decimals: Divide 11 by 16 and get your decimal equivalent, or numerator divided by the denominator, if I remember correctly. Conversely, if looking to obtain a fractional equivalent, multiply the decimal by the desired fractional denominator, or .68 times 16 = 10.88, rounded up to 11 and read as 11/16.

I managed to pass sixty-five years on Earth without knowing that extremely useful piece of info. I'll chalk it up to being a right-brained person. Thanks for posting that!
Members Bernie P. Posted August 21, 2007 Author Members Posted August 21, 2007 Thanks guys!I was hoping it would fall the other way with .68 being a hair wider but at least now I know for sure.
