Expert Advice needed on G-120

I own this exact model, so my opinion is perhaps biased. Good sturdy model, all laminate, likely 30+ years old. My playing is basic, so I couldn't really say how it compares with others, but old Yamahas - steel and nylon - have a good reputation on this forum. In fact, when I was looking for a classical, several people here suggested that I look for an older Yamaha. I paid $76 for mine, plus shipping, which seems to be in the right neighborhood for these. I figure if it's come thru the past quarter century relatively intact, it's got to be decent.

I mainly play my steel string guitars, but my classical is a Yamaha G-100A. Don't know how it differs from a G-120, but I'm pleased with it overall. The sound is nice. My only gripe is that a couple of the tuners are a little stiff. I've never looked at seeing if that could be improved. Maybe just some grease on the metal/metal contact. If something happened to it, and I wanted to get another classical, I probably would look at getting another similar Yamaha.

Hi Linda and welcome. Yamaha guitars are almost always good quality, excellent value for money, instruments so they are certainly worth considering and if you can get one for US$50 you will have had a bargain.

You don't say where in the world you are - just noticed the guy is quoting $69 dollars shipping to the UK so if you are here (UK) that's an additional expense you will have to consider.
