Well, I finally broke down and bought a hand made compressor pedal by this guy named Mark @ ol circuits. It's a true to schematic Dan Armstrong Orange Juicer, with an xtra knob for bias, the original Dan Armstrong, you had to open it up to adjust the amount of compression. It will be like an MXR sized box , metal colred with some peach strip decals on it. I'm going to have him use chicken head knobs for coolness and I am going to call it "The Peach Pit" after the Allman Brothers Band. One knob for volume -peel and one knob for bias -pit. That' the idea I sent him, He did an incredible one for Phil Okeefe, one of the mods, let me see

This is certainly OT for acoustic guitars, but...

Mind me asking what people pay for things like this? I'm toying around with different ideas of electronic stuff I can make and sell; I'm an electronics guy. The hardest part of a stomp box for me is actually the hardware; making it durable and nice looking.

Well, I guess it depends, Ol Circuits usually just makes kits, I'm having a stripped down model made, which is $100, the cheapest price around for a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer is probably the Cream Tangerine, $150. This pedal is not made by any company. Boutique pedals cost more or less sometimes than the Boss or other many brands.

Check out thru google "Analog man" and "Pedal Doctor" ,2 of the best
