Cowgirl In The Sand - finally nailed it (I think...)

This has to be one of my all time favorite Neil Young songs and a true classic.

I literally grew up hearing this song. The year was 1970 when I first heard this album being played around the house.

It has never left my soul. I used to go out in my truck when in high school at lunch and just crank this song up!

One of those songs that is forever burned into my memory cells.

I love both the electric and the acoustic versions. When I heard the 4 way street acoustic version I decided that someday I was going to play and sing that song.

I've been playing the song for decades but always shied away from singing it because it was so far out of my range.

That was before I discovered different tunings. I experimented and finally hit on a guitar tuning that worked for my voice.

So here's my first ever Serious attempt at singing this song:
