Members Cripes Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 white or red wine with a root canal. I'm thinking white. Now, what I don't know is which goes better with the green antibiotics and yellow whoopy pills. Should it be wine at all? Perhaps a nice rum?
Members d03nut Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 perhaps a rose? (the "e" at the end being the "funny looking e" with that little hat on top)
Members Cripes Posted September 22, 2007 Author Members Posted September 22, 2007 Hmm. I thought red went with foul, fish and lighter cuts of pork while white went with red meat, which is about the condition of my jaw right now. But, I think potency should also be a consideration.

Hmmm. I thought it was the exact opposite. Red with beef, white with fish, yada yada yada. I guess it depends on the vintage. Will this be from a box or in a jug?
Members d03nut Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 red with red, white with white.... your teeth are white, your blood red, that's why I suggested the "in-between" rose....
Members Simon76 Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 I would think that a nice chianti would go with the blood leaking into your mouth.

I'm sooo glad that somebody went there because I didn't want to the sicko of the bunch! I'd typed up something similar, had the cursor over post with the finger poised over the mouse button and a little voice (that sounds remarkably like my wife) said DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
Members Cripes Posted September 22, 2007 Author Members Posted September 22, 2007 What's with that anyway? Red with EIR, white with maple? Scotch with Hog and bourbon with Ovangkol? Hmm, this is all sounding pretty tasty.

Members kwakatak Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 all my life I've wanted to be a "somebody" and what do you know, mission accomplished.... LOL! Don't worry man - we get you. I just need a little help sometimes.
Members d03nut Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 LOL! Don't worry man - we get you. I just need a little help sometimes. oh yeah, well then, I think that green smilie of yours needs a root canal.... with a "green" apple cider obviously.....
Members guitarist21 Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 Jack and Coke. For some reason, my grandma always made us drink Coke when we had sore throats. Eventually this extended to sore mouths, throats, and stomachs. Ergo, Jack and Coke. Ellen
Members Cripes Posted September 22, 2007 Author Members Posted September 22, 2007 Your Grandma prescribed spirits for ailing Grandkids? Just where the hell did the Old World go? Your Grandma must have been a pretty cool lady.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, though. Some folks say to use whiskey but I'm guessing that brandy would be baby's first choice, otherwise they'd include a Coke "chaser" to counter the bitterness.
Members riffmeister Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 mmmmmm............ root canal. colonoscopy. prostate exam. these are a few of my favorite things...............
Members Terry Allan Hall Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 "White Lightning"...it's not just for breakfast, anymore! Sure, the first sip or two's gonna burn, but after that you'll not really notice...
Members drnihili Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 Red. That way you don't notice the bleeding so much.
Members drnihili Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 Hmmm ... port. Ruby, Tawny, or Vintage?

Members Stackabones Posted September 22, 2007 Members Posted September 22, 2007 Ruby, Tawny, or Vintage? That's so obvious! With a root canal, one always prefers vintage port.

Sure, the first sip or two's gonna burn, but after that you'll not really notice... Man, that's powerful stuff. Years ago I was stationed in Indiana and some of the guys I served with would bring some of that back from KY and TN after they got off leave. It was also good for removing oil stains from clothes.
