My rule of thumb for most guitars it to start with the manufacturers list price. A brand new guitar will often be discounted 30 or up to 40 percent of that price - 40 percent off is the lowest you will see one from a big box internet discount house. That guitar will be under manufacturers warranty and should be in totally new condition - no scratches, good setup, and possibly have some sort of 30 day return policy.

An absolutely pristine used example of that guitar should be 50 percent or less of the list pirce max - no warranty, no return policy. From there I would take off or wear and tear (pick scratches, buckle gouges, etc). I take off even more for setup issues (a good setup will cost $30-50 if needed) and I take off additionally for damage - structural, neck angle, cracks.

So if you paid list originally I would say your guitar is worth (sorry I can't make a pound sign) 75 pounds max - and because Ovations and their clones aren't in real high demand, less if you really want to sell it.

^ haha on UK keyboards its shift + 3, right next to the dollar sign shift + 4.

It confuses me when the keyset in on the US mode on websites and online games sometimes.

TS- Stagg aren't good, there are far better guitars out for the money so unless you catch a noob 50%-60% is being pretty optimistic.

I usually look at completed eBay sales to get a rough idea of the going rate for a particular item. Under advanced search you can check to look only at completed auctions. You have to be signed in to do this. You also can see if the items are hard or easy to sell by the ratio of listings to completed sales.
