Music stand light?

Any suggestions about the best music stand light to buy? The Mighty Bright XtraFlex Duet (scroll to the bottom of the link) seems like a good candidate. Any thoughts?

 

BTW, I bought a Long Hollow strap from the folks at Shoreline Music, and they were really good to deal with.

I own one and like it. It is small enough to fit in a case or gigbag and the dual lights let you really see the whole music or charts.

I have one of these. It seems to be the standard light. Used it for pit orchestra in high school and a couple of blues gigs back in Chicago. No frills. The one in your link is probably a little more high tech with the LEDs but if you want something more old school (change the bulb instead of the batteries ) mine would be okay.

They sell those types of clip on LED lights with long bendable goose necks here in my town at almost every "Buck or Two" (discount store) for like $1.50....hmmm...

Since I don't really need portability, this may work well. I suspect it's brighter than the "book light" models.

Hey no problem. Hope you like it. I like it because it isn't complicated and it looks good on the Manhasset stands, which I used for pit orchestra. Downside would be that its a little unwieldy- just kind of big, not terribly portable/foldable, etc. But overall a pretty good light, pretty indestructable (I really need this aspect in all my gear haha).
