Members dhoenisch Posted October 2, 2007 Members Posted October 2, 2007 I always feel that it is a waste of an instrument if it is not played, so my opinion is to play it, and enjoy it. Dan
Members Terry Allan Hall Posted October 2, 2007 Members Posted October 2, 2007 If you're of a scientific bent, restring it and record it's "virginal tone", then play it every day, an hour a day, and re-record it monthly, using the exact same set-up, for a year...then post mp3s so the rest of us can listen to it opening up! Now, if you had two, you could "stimulate" one w/ vibrations (from a radio or sub-woofer) daily and we could compare natural aging vs. artificial aging!
