Members guitarist21 Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Hey guys, I just wanted to show you this email I got about a new forum that I'm probably going to be a mod for. Hate to disown my beloved HCAG but I had to show someone. "Great playing...great page. Love the mandolin picking on "Home". I've got a question for you. I've got a new musicians forum...in a totally different format than any others currently on the web. I am actively pursuing another moderator for Acoustic Guitars & Bluegrass Instruments. It's not something that you'd be tied to like a ball and chain, you wouldn't have to be there everyday..just when you can. It's free...and will remain that way. To view my forum, go here: http://www.eq.eamped.com I'd like to invite you to fill this slot, based completely on your playing abilities of the songs you have posted. Your songwriting style reminds me of somebody we once played shows with, Liz Harvey, from Pittsburgh, PA. I completely understand if you do not have the time, or are otherwise uninterested. Either way, I'd like to add you to The EQ Forums MySpace friends. All The Best, Scott Stokes" So yeah, I thought that was pretty sweet. The power of the internet, you know? The guy just randomly found me. If you're ever bored or feel like dispensing some sage advice in a baby forum, stop by! Ellen
Members Cripes Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Okay. So I was bored and said hello. I'm usually a one-trick pony but for you my dear I make exceptions.
Members drnihili Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Ummm, you need to change the subtitle of the AG forum. You've left out the obvious 12 stringers and also the more obscure 7 stringers.
Members Broadus Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Ellen, you're so kind in freely giving thoughtful advice, I have to visit. Blessings,Bill
Members happy-man Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Babies grow up you know....LOL.It's just a different format than most forums. Good people and accurate information is always needed.See 'ya around.....Ellen...and thanks again... Just went over to peruse. Only looked at the acoustic guitar forum. What's different? That's not meant to be a smart question; it's an honest one. Scott O
Members Hudman Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 I joined with the same handle and avatar from here. I'm look forward to seeing it grow under Ellen's watch. It could be a nice place to go when this place has technical problems (which is often).
Members kwakatak Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 Interesting, Ellen. Lord knows that I'm already registered on too many forums the way it is though so I haven't registered (yet, anyway.) Still, I perused the forum lists and saw some interesting stuff now entirely having to do with acoustic guitars and am intrigued. I don't see much in the way of "about this site" other than it seems to be another message board for musicians.

I think that's supposed to be the different bit.
Members OldGuitarPlayer Posted October 4, 2007 Members Posted October 4, 2007 I also received in invite from Scott and have signed up and joined the forum as well. I am glad to hear you are on board too Ellen...and a mod to boot! OGP
