Finally unloaded my stupid deal of the day Aria. Had an ad in craiglist. Bought for $56, sold for $60, but I kept the gig bag, extra D'Addario strings and tuner.

Wanted $65, but I'm glad to get it out of my hands. I did set it up well so that it's easy to play.

So, how'd you pack it if it was just the guitar?

The guy probably picked it up.

I wonder why he wanted it...

BTW I'm in love with Craigslist lately. I've only had good experiences with it, whereas eBay I've had some scares.

Yup.

I bought a 110 on CL for 350, sold it but kept to tuner for 330.

Sold a Seagull 12 string for 160 (bought it for 100).

Sold my 914c for 1,880 (payed 1,900)

Bought a MIM strat with noiseless vintage PUs for 300 with gig bag. Will probably sell it now that my regular strat is coming back from being refretted.

Sold my squier J-bass (125, bought it new for 180 and tax).

Sold a printer (60).

Got my beater (30, might give it to the woman that bought my 914).

Got my Gibson songwriter deluxe (1k :freak:).

All in the last few months. Everything bought and sold through CL except the 914, which I bought from a store, the J-bass (GC), the printer (Mac store), and the Seagull, which I bought 4 years ago at GC.

Yeah, he picked it up. The problem with eBay and cheap guitars - the shipping kills you.

He just wanted something that wasn't broken. This was cheap and basically new. You could buy something like it locally in a store for $85 (figuring tax), or from me with a good setup for $60.

We don't have Craiglist in my city yet (that I know of) but we have another thing called "Kijiji" which is a national/local buy & sell site similar to Craiglist. We also have one website dedicated to just used musical instrument sales. I have been very successfull selling stuff on both. Much better way to sell instead of bringing it to the pawnshop, used music shop or eBay.
