Members Whalebot Posted October 19, 2007 Members Posted October 19, 2007 Gibby J-100. Looking for a gently used one. Seems like it may be a good fit for performing at some Open mics, small gigs. Opines?
Members missedmyexit Posted October 19, 2007 Members Posted October 19, 2007 Gibby Jumbo's make me happy.. Until I see the price tag.. Then they make me sad cause I can't buy it.. But if you can I would say go for it. Eventually I am hopping to have: Guild all Hog DreadGibson Jumbo Martin OMC-AURA I have 1/3 of it now.. So there is progress!

Then they make me sad cause I can't buy it.. +1 My very first up-close-and-personal experience with a Gibson jumbo was with a J-100. Holy. Mother. Of. Bubinga. Fantastic instrument. Gibson is some jumbo-makin' mother$#%^$s. As uber-overpriced Gibby acoustics go, this one is comparatively on the tame side of the pricing spectrum. Get it, yo.

I've had good experiences with it.I'm with missedmyexit here- I'd totally have a Gibson jumbo if it wasn't for the equally jumbo-sized price tag. Its like the perfect strumming sound.Ellen
