Members endrithius Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 So - this is a link to another post but after thinking about it - I figure "An acoustic song would probably go over better in the Acoustic Forum?" So please check out this post - listen to teh song - and give me whatever opinions you can about the music - not about the band name - thanks! http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=1802603 Will
Members totamus Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 Good Job. The song, albeit good, is repetitious, it needs a bridge to break it up and keep listener interest up.
Members endrithius Posted November 15, 2007 Author Members Posted November 15, 2007 Yea, I was kinda thinking the same thing, but I don't want to busy up the song at the same time - the simplistic part of it is probably my favorite part.
Members Krash Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 Email the mp3 and song info to Freeman, and we'll post it on the Annex. Instructions for submitting songs are in the Music sections.
Members endrithius Posted November 15, 2007 Author Members Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks a lot guys! When I get home I will put the full mp3 in an email and toss it to ya! Will:thu:
Members OldGuitarPlayer Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 Very good tune. Very well written, recorded and performed with emotion I enjoyed it a lot.
Members spruce goose Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 Listened to it once, without really analyzing it. Nevertheless, I got this: 1. Generally well done. 2. Lyrics need work. As others have stated, a little metaphor goes a long way. 3. The ending (where you reach the higher notes etc.) was good. Much better than the rest of the song. You might want to try to get some of that quality into the rest of the song (e.g. into the chorus).
Members flip333 Posted November 15, 2007 Members Posted November 15, 2007 Very nice. A bridge would be interesting. I really like the driving rhythm you chose.
Members endrithius Posted November 15, 2007 Author Members Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks guys! How did the mixing sound?
