Members CosmicFunkSquad Posted November 20, 2007 Members Posted November 20, 2007 Just wondering which size is smaller no local music stores carry either type. If anyone could upload any size comparison picture it would be great also. Thanks!
Members Freeman Keller Posted November 20, 2007 Members Posted November 20, 2007 The double ought (00) is smaller than the triple ought, which is smaller than a dread or jumb. An OM is about the same size as a triple ought - there are a few minor differences. There is a very good size reference chart at the Annex in the Links section (click the pink thingie in my sig). I am personally a biig fan of smaller Martins - I mostly play a 000 and an OM 12 string and I'm in the process of building a parlor (size 0 or smaller) right now. I have a picture but can't upload it from this PC - I'll do it tonight. Also Martin's web site has pictures and specs on every model - you can compare say an 00-18 with an 000-18 By the way welcome to HCAG
