Epi Masterbilt, Fantastic!

After a couple of months thinking about it, I finally bought an Epi Masterbilt. It's the DR500m and is fantastic. So all the advice I got from this site was spot on! I thank all who said ' Get One '.

Now I'm after a Yamaha for around the same money, any advice?

Yamaha's FG series is cheaper than the Masterbilts and get alot of love on the forum here.

Why are you looking for a Yamaha? Beater or what exactly?

Yeah, ya gotta be careful with that GAS. It can really flare up on you!

 

I know how you feel though. I've got half a mind to scratch the GAS itch with any one of the following:

 

- Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500M

- Guild GAD-30

- Martin 000-15

- Larrivee L-03 or OM-03

- Breedlove Atlas AC25/SR

 

...and if I were feeling like sleeping on the couch for the rest of my life I'd probably put one of these on the Platinum Visa:

 

- Martin HD-35

- Taylor GS8

- commission either from Tim McKnight or Rob Bustos at Paragon Guitars.

 

...but then that conscience buzzes in my ear (in my wife's voice no less) about how such things would only buy misery and not happiness and all I really need is more time to play what I've already got.
