Well one is a ukele and it sounds killer, the acoustic is pretty nice, reminds me of the acoustic i started out with as a kid, don't see many around anymore. I got them both for 25.00, not bad eh.:thu:

The uke says first act on the headstock anyone heard of them? the guitar is a harmony stella.

First Act makes a wide variety of instruments. You can find some entry level guitars at Target. I had a calendar from First Act a year or so ago that had pics of their higher-end and custom gits. Very nice looking guitars!!!

That cool old Stella reminds me of the git I learned to play on when I was a little kid. And a uke always ranks pretty high on the "fun factor" scale.

Hey, for $25, you can't go wrong, especially for two.

Happy "double" NGD! Have fun :)

By the way, if the neck on your Stella is still in good shape, then I strongly advise you to use only light gauge strings and to tune down a note. The old Harmony Stellas have no adjustor for the truss rod so when they bend they stay that way. Less tension on the neck = longer life for the guitar.

Stack...you failed to mention a very important factor about Tim's newly aquired instruments and what makes them even more special.... a definate lack of BRIDGE PINS!

I  that Stella Tim...it looks almost in mint condition! Getting the Uke was a bonus too. :)

Nice score :thu:

Hey Tim! That little Stella suits you - could have been made specifically for you (and watch out for that neck - do what Baba says). Happy playing.
