K&K Trinity Western or...?

Has anyone tried a K&K Trinity Western transducer/mic system with his guitar?

Does that system feedbacks easily? I play acoustic gigs where feedback will not be a problem but I also play with a rock band. Do you think that putting a rubber "feedback buster" plug on the soundhole of my guitar will help? Transducers feedback easier than undersaddle piezos?

I've used some Fishman Blender systems on my acoustic guitars with success but the tone wasn't great. Any opinions are welcome:)

The Trinity will be more prone to feedback than the K&K Pure Western Mini. The Mini if played through a Baggs PADI will give you really natural tone that it is hard to imagine being improved upon. The Trinity was my first choice but I was convinced to go with the Mini due to the feedback potential. My understanding is that the Trinity is totally unacceptable for playing onstage with a loud Rock Band. The Trinity would be ideal for recording.

I think that the Trinity is the Pure system with the addition of a gooseneck mic. If someone plays on a loud stage he could just mix out the mic, correct?

If you play in a full band look into a Baggs M1 Active soundhole pickup. I have one and swear by it for that type of application. Sounds pretty good for solo gigs as well but it really shines as a feedback resistant full band pickup.

I have seen a lot of folks that have a K&K for solo stuff and a soundhole pickup for their band stuff in the same guitar. I'd do it if I had the money.

That sounds like it would work, but why not just use the K&K Pure Western Mini and use a soundhole cover to prevent feedback? It would be simpler and cheaper and give you great sound.

That sounds good, but I really don't know how it works in practice.
:idk:

I don't have any feedback issues using the PADI and K&K Pure Pickups (regular size). If you are using the trinity w/mic you can use the cheap ($126) K&K blending preaamp to power the mic and control the volume level of the mic and pure pickups. But I wouldn't recommend using a soundhole cover with the mic....ever tried singing with a sock in your mouth?
