Members 0rbitz9 Posted December 7, 2007 Members Posted December 7, 2007 I just recieved a new Cort Earth 202 guitar today, and it's a definate keeper. This is a dreadnought sized guitar that sports a solid Cedar top, solid mahogany back, and laminated mahogany sides. It's finished with Corts open pore finish, as seen on many of Cort's Parkwood models. The workmanship on this instrument seems flawless, I can't find any faults. The sound is also impressive. The top is quite dynamic and responsive to finger picking and light strumming, which is what I bought it for. It's not as well suited for hard strumming, but I have spruce topped guitars if I want to do that. The neck is on the thin side, which is comfortable for me. The factory setup seems good, with standard string height. An extra saddle was supplied, so I will probably lower the action a hair when it's time to change the strings. The Grover tuners feel smooth and precise, and came with black plastic knobs, which suits the cosmetics of the guitar. The guitar wasn't sold with a case, so I had to order one seperately. Overall, I feel that I got an exceptional guitar for a very low price. Anyone in the market for a great sounding cedar top guitar should seriously consider this. I paid $300 for the guitar with free shipping. It came double boxed with styrofoam penuts in between the boxes. I bought it from Dr. Cluck on eBay. This was the second guitar I've bought from this dealer, and I've found him to be fair and honest, and will be talking with him about some other Cort guitars.
Members T.B. Posted December 7, 2007 Members Posted December 7, 2007 Congrats Orbitz9, another best keep secret in the super bang for your buck guitar. I really like the feel/look of the open pore finish Cort and Parkwood use. I couldn't agree with you more about Doc's ...... salt of the earth. Enjoy.Trina

Members Treborklow Posted December 7, 2007 Members Posted December 7, 2007 That should be a good one. I just picked up an Earth 900 the other day. Built the same I think. My first Cort acoustic.
Members dhoenisch Posted December 7, 2007 Members Posted December 7, 2007 Very nice guitar. Congratulations. For some goofy reason I've been wanting a new guitar, again. You guys are really no help with this addiction, you know? Dan
