Members MaxVolume
That is about the ugliest guitar I've ever seen.
Members Samilyn
Good grief......28 grand for one that's had holes poked in it. And notice the seller is tossing in some silica packs along with the strings. Nothing like drying out the old git some more.

Members guitarcapo
Looks worth it based on the age and condition.Very few guitar models are so closely associated with a specific type of music. Granted there are a lot of luthiers making modern versions that are probably every bit as good, but you're really paying for the collectability. When you get into that crazy area where a VanGogh is worth 300 million and an Andy Warhol is worth 35 million...a 28 thousand dollar guitar isn't that much. I read somewhere that P. Diddy spends 3 million on a single party......

Members IanStrap
Agreed. I really would like to own it, but I would probably like to pay off my car first. Then I could use the other 12000 left from that for a slightly less collectable guitar (or five)
Members 12Pack
Its got a 24 hour return - Buy it - play it then return it. Just so you can put it on your guitar playing resume - Someone has to have $28k sitting around for this.
Members bjorn-fjord
Seems reasonable to me. Old Selmers are way rarer than pre-war Martins and we all know what kind of money those things can fetch. A new Traugott starts at 25K.I bet it sells. Members Jasco
If I could afford an original old maccaferi like that I'd get it. But... I can't so I won't. Awesome guitar though.
