What do you guys play through? I'm a singer/songwriter kinda guy and do some covers too, just guitar and voice. I don't have a PA, just an electric guitar amp, crappy mic, and a little behringer mixing board to channel the mic and my guitar into the amp. I want a good vocal mic, and I've been interested in micing my guitar instead of (or in combination with) the pickup that's in it. Might need to invest in a decent acoustic amp at some point. Also, should I look into acoustic DI boxes at all? Ideas?

And more importantly, what do you guys want??

Hmmm...... as for surprises under the tree, I've been so broke for so long that I simply don't GAS anymore. Counting my blessings that I got my Martie before my career fell apart.

Most of all, I wish for the most Wonderful of Holidays for all my friends here at HCAG.

Mic - Shure 57 & sometimes 58
PA - don't own one, but I have used the house PA in the past
Amps - Rivera Sedona combo - great amp, very loud & heavy ... this past year I have been trying to go to simpler rig, & getting away from the amp.
Pickup - trying something new, used LR Baggs & Fishman undersaddle trasducers, but now trying out the LR Baggs M1 & Fishman Neo-O Magnetic

I used to want world peace but it ain't never going to happen so decided it was a waste of energy. Best we can hope for is for a dictator to get all the marbles and hope he doesn't destroy his subjects in the process. I hate knocks on the door at midnight.

Now I just hope for personal happiness, at least that is achievable as long as I am clear about what I am seeking.
