Members ChiyoDad Posted December 29, 2007 Members Posted December 29, 2007 I saw this guitar at The Sharper Image about a year ago and I said, ... "Yeah, .. right.". It's really a MIDI controller and synthesizer that's shaped and controlled like a guitar. But every now and then, I find myself wishing that I had a silent travel guitar that I could at least keep my fingers busy with; memorizing fret positions and practicing right-hand exercises. Then I saw Eduardo Diaz playing the EZ-AG on YouTube! Now, I'm thinking that I should give this $200 synthesizer some serious consideration. It's no slouch either as a MIDI controller. This fellow is using it to control several other voices. Listen to the remarkable effects! I doubt that it would truly excel as a training device. Still, as long as you know that you're getting a portable synth just to keep your muscle-memory in shape, it may be an acceptable substitute for a guitar while on the road.
